BURKHARDS ZOO
I made this project during the Tweespraak talent development program of SELF. Collective. During my stay in Hamburg, I came across a book in a thrift store by the Swiss photographer Balthasar Burkhard. A series of animals that he photographed became the protagonists in a new urban world that I created by making collages; adding my own photos, drawings, paintings and screen prints.
The series was shown during the Broeikas Festival in the Westerkerk and later at Het Noordelijk Film Festival in Stadsschouwburg de Harmonie in Leeuwarden.
